DSP-83 Non-Transfer and Use Certificate Form Notice
The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) released an official notice earlier this month that they will no longer accept expired DSP-83 forms.
The DDTC advises that current pending licenses that have been submitted on the expired form will be required to also submit a non-expired form to D-Trade prior to export, but not later than July 1, 2016. Beginning May 14, 2016 an expired DDTC must be accompanied by an “explicit signed separate letter from the Empowered Official acknowledging they understand the requirement to obtain a new DSP-83 prior to DDTC approval of the case.” If the correct DSP-83 is not uploaded by July 1, 2016, the case will be Returned Without Action.
Beginning May 14, 2016 the DDTC will no longer accept the expired DSP-83 and after July 1, 2016 expired DSP-83 forms will be Returned Without Action.
