PORTS OF LA AND LB OPEN DESPITE OFFICE WORKERS’ STRIKE
According to an article in today’s Journal of Commerce, the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach are open for business despite a strike by clerical office workers. Longshoremen refused to cross the office workers’ picket lines, but an arbitrator ruled the dockworkers to cross the picket lines and return to their jobs. Office workers and dock workers have different contracts.
