Planned Increase of Tariffs on Lists 1, 2, and 3 of Goods From China Has Been Suspended
Following up on the FHK trade alert issued October 1, 2019, the proposed increase in additional tariffs from 25% to 30% on $250 billion dollars worth of imports from China has been postponed as a result of promising trade talks with China. Tariffs will remain at their current rate of 25% on these goods for now.
It is to be noted however that this postponement does not include the planned 15% tariff on products from List 4b that include laptops, smartphones, footwear, and clothing which is scheduled to begin December 15.
FHK will continue to follow this and keep you informed and as always, please feel free to contact us with any questions.
