Manufacturing Enhancement Act of 2010

The Manufacturing Enhancement Act of 2010 temporarily modifies rates of duty for certain goods entered on or after August 26, 2010.  These changes are found in Subchapter II of Chapter 99 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).  Goods listed in Title I of the Act are subject to new duty suspensions or reductions.   Titles II and III pertain to goods with existing or additional duty suspensions and reductions.

 

Goods listed in Titles II and III will be given retroactive benefits for merchandise entered on or after January 1, 2010 if a formal request is filed with CBP within 180 days after the enactment of the Act.  The Act was signed into law August 11, 2010.
