ISF Filing begins Monday, January 26, 2009! As mentioned in a Trade Alert dated January 9, 2009:
“The 10 additional data elements must be provided to CBP by the ISF filer at least 24 hours in advance of cargo lading at foreign port.
Importer of record must provide information to ISF filer 48 hours in advance (excluding week-ends and holidays) and must include all shipping documents (i.e. Bill of Lading, commercial invoices, packing list, etc.). Containers being loaded on January 26, 2009 are required to have information to ISF filer by Friday, January 23, 2009 for transmission.
Attached please find an Importer Security Filing Letter of Agreement.
Please review the agreement letter, then sign, date and return the same to F. H. Kaysing Company.
