CBP Revokes Ruling Letters to Change Classification of Certain LED Lamps
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) revoked four ruling letters relating to the tariff classification of certain light emitting diode (LED) lamps. The four rulings, NY N020630, NY M83236, NY L84113 and NY E89000, classified the LEDs under headings 8539 and 8541.
CBP issued a new ruling, HQ H135615, in Volume 48 of the Customs Bulletin and Decisions dated February 26, 2014, reclassifying the LED lamps under 8543.70.70.
