Census Lists HTS Numbers that are Invalid for Use in AES

The Census Bureau periodically posts a list of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) numbers that are invalid for use in the Automated Export System (AES). The list dated January 1, 2010, contains 182 HTS numbers and is unchanged from the list dated July 1, 2009.  Use of one of the invalid HTS numbers in AES or AESDirect will result in a fatal error.  Exporters must use the appropriate Schedule B numbers for goods covered by HTS numbers that are invalid for use in AES.
